One important factor in assessing artificial turf surfaces is the interaction between the ball and the field. The various sports federations such as FIFA (FIFA Test Method 03) and FIH (EN 12234) have set up a number of requirements for artificial turf. The ball roll characteristic is one of them
The distance of the continued rolling of the ball is measured. This measurement is taken in several directions and different locations on the field.
With some easy adjustments, the Ball ramp can be transformed into a Ball ramp for Hockey balls. The size between the rods will then be 45 ±5 mm regarding EN 12234, instead of the 100 ±5mm for Football.
With the Ball Rebound rod, it is possible to determine visually the Ball Rebound height (EN 12235:2006). You can easily put the vertical rod into the Ball ramp and fixate it so that the fall height beneath the ball is 2.00 meters (Football and Hockey). With the attached measurement tape you can see the height of the rebound.
Regarding EN 12235:2006, this is possible for Football and other sports like Hockey, Basketball and Tennis.
